The Relics series is a visual exploration of a pivotal era in Iranian modern architecture—one defined by boldness, innovation, and visionary design in the decades leading up to the 1979 revolution. These structures, once symbols of progress and modernity, represent an era of architectural ambition that was abruptly interrupted.

Some of these buildings remain in use, while others have faded into obscurity, their significance overlooked. Yet, they all carry the weight of a moment when Iranian architecture was poised for transformation—a fusion of tradition and modernity, local craftsmanship and global influences. Their stories are not merely of the past but continue to evolve, shaping contemporary discourse on architectural identity.

Through this series, I seek to document these spaces not as mere relics, but as living questions for the present: How do we interpret an architectural legacy that was never fully realized? What meaning do these structures hold today? Relics is both a tribute to what once was and an invitation to reconsider what still remains.
