In these black and white photos, Masih Mostajeran strives to depict the pedestrian infrastructure of Enqelab Street in the form of a collection of silent grand memorials. Nowadays, we witness the rise of residential apartments, office buildings, and the development of modern transportation systems in various corners of Tehran. Through his photos, Masih Mostajeran wants to explore how these urban structures impact the physical and social patterns of the city.

Mostajeran's photos emphasize how these structures, in a contradictory manner, empty the surrounding space. The streets here are filled with railings, various obstacles, escalators, bridges, and various tunnels, but they have been emptied of any spatial potential for vibrant gatherings, interactions, and self-initiated sensorial activities. His photo collection prompts us to ponder whether these modernist memorials of Enqelab Street have turned people into mere travelers and meeting places into passageways, devoid of their original significance./alireza labeshka

سیح مستاجران در این عکس­ های سیاه ­وسفید، سعی دارد تا زیرساخت­ های پیاده ­راهی خیابان انقلاب را در قالب مجموعه ای از یادمان­های بزرگ خاموش، به تصویر بکشد. امروزه در گوشه گوشه ی تهران شاهد بالا آمدن آپارتمان­ های مسکونی و ساختمان های اداری و توسعه­ی سیستم­های حمل­ ونقلی مدرنیستی هستیم. مسیح مستاجران به­واسطه­ی عکس­های خود، می­خواهد دریابد که این ساخت ­وسازهای شهری چگونه بر الگوهای فیزیکی و اجتماعی شهر اثرگذار می­شوند؟ عکس های مستاجران بر این مسئله تاکید دارند که این ساختارها چگونه به شکلی متناقض، فضای اطراف خود را پروخالی می­کنند. خیابان­ های اینجا پر از نرده­ ها، موانعِ مختلف، پله های برقی، پل­ها و تونل های مختلف شده اند، اما از هرگونه قابلیت فضایی برای برپایی تجمعات خودجوش، تعامل و فعالیت­های خودانگیخته ی شهودی، تهی شده اند. مجموعه عکس­های مسیح ما را به این فکر وامی­دارند که آیا این یادمان­های مدرنیستیِ خیابان انقلاب، انسان­ها را به مسافرانی صرف و مکان­های دیدار را به فضاهای گذار، تبدیل نکرده­ اند.
