During my time living in Tehran, I developed a deep passion for documenting architectural works from a specific period in the country's modern history that held significant architectural value. Sadly, many of these structures became entangled in the web of development, with reports emerging daily of buildings facing demolition due to the city's increasing commodification of land.
Preserving these architectural treasures and preventing their destruction became a paramount concern among architecture enthusiasts in Tehran. The images I captured during this time encapsulate my encounters with the concept of demolition and the challenges faced by these historic structures.
